Charm bracelet half

All the beauty of the Charm Bracelet and the first half of the marathon route.

14.3 miles.. yes, you get a bonus mile!

Heading south from Redcar following the King Charles III England Coast Path, you’ll finish in the beautiful historical fishing village of Staithes. You’ll pass the ‘Circle’ sculpture in between miles 7 and 8. Affectionately known as The Charm Bracelet, it’s name inspired the marathon. You’ll pass through coastal villages, run on the sand, watch the world from high up on the cliffs, and immerse yourself in everything the Cleveland Way has to offer.

  • Cath & Tim first met as children in 1991, so we go back a long way!

Tim is a highly experienced ultra runner, with a huge passion for the outdoors. He works as a nurse in the NHS, loves chocolate, and hates coffee.

Cath is a marathon runner and loves being in the great outdoors. She is a professional photographer, loves chocolate, and LOVES coffee..

As runners who started off as walkers, and who are still very keen walkers, we wanted to make our event as inclusive as possible, with a cut off long enough to allow it to be walked if running isn’t your thing.

From the first to cross the line, to the final finisher, we’ll be cheering you all on - you’re all equally important to us!
